Successful Business Breakfast!

LIW hosted a very well attended Business Breakfast at Australia House in conjunction with Austrade, the Australian Trade Commission. The event addressed some of the key issues facing leaders today with the theme of 'Strengthening Leaders - Bringing Yourself to what You do'. Our aims were to strengthen what you can do and who you can be, and to lead yourself and others towards an optimistic future in these tough times with unprecedented challenges.

We were delighted by the response from those attending, all senior leaders from a wide range of business sectors - who enjoyed the opportunity to network and explore their own challenges with likeminded individuals.

Some of the Leadership Challenges that emerged included:

• Work/home balance
• Working together better between teams

• Leading existing clients to new work
• Winning new business
• Engaging others to keep them motivated

We heard from three excellent speakers from very diverse backgrounds in Construction, Technology and Olympic Rowing. Each speaker delivered a thought-provoking and insightful story about their own personal leadership experience of overcoming challenges in tough times.
